Well that what MobileSuitGio makes is real stuff. Even though I'm a half I'm still japanese and if japanese ppl say it real stuff it is. At least his stuff is real mecha and not mech. His mecha is real stuff and I usually first see ppl's gallery then I look at their locations. This guy is asian not western. The other two are also mecha or at least very close to it. It just lacks something. I'm can't draw mecha yet so I can't tell. But it's probably is needs a little more detial on some places. His other stuff in his gallery was not manga/nime but those two are very very close to it. And btw I just fav what ever I like I don't care if it's manga, PS, 3d, photo, poetry or cartoon or whatever^^
Btw I'll change my sig. Bcause I think from your story I might hurt ppl. And if not they might come ask the same questions, I like answers them but I don't lik,e answering the same questions again and again. So I'll just change it.

I said 'If', didn't I? Coz from the way you talk you I think you hate me becuae you can't understand what I'm saying. I could answer you questions better if we meet in real life cuz with just plain text like this feeling can't be explained. If you would really do those things I mentioned and really think about it you could understand it too. It sounds like a lame excuse, I know. BUt if you do those things I said everything will be more clear for you. Well I'll say it again but if you still want to talk let's do it with msn. Even though it will be the same story about those things I say you have to do to understand it better. If you want to understand it just do it. I'm not the only one who thinks about it like a lot of ppl who have some of those things understand what I'm saying. You just got to experience it or you won't understand it. That is all. It will take a lot of time. bUt that means this kinda questions need some more effort than other questions. If you r not willing to do that for you answers you will never get them. Ofcorse I know why anime isn't dubbed word by word. I'm can understand englisah too. About those jokes that are only possible in japanese u'll never understand that. U need to learn other cultures and languages for that.
If no emotion is in the voices the msg is not the same anymore. Emotion is probably more important than the words. look at great wprld leaders. Example Hitler you see that his speeches are full of emotion and bodylanguage that is much much important then the mening of the words.
There are questions that cann't be answered. Those questions about culture like why did samurai do harakiri. That is something a japanese person can almost just feel that just normal. But a western person will get to hear something like they do harakiri if they are humiliated but that isn't a good answer and they will never get that feeling like jp ppl. JP Feeling like that is needed for anime and manga. If you don't have that you simplely can't. You don't have feelings that the jp ppl have so you can't tell if my stuff is real manga or not. But I know what manga is so I tell the ppl who really want to become better some things western ppl don't see. Coz those eyes are are often just wrong. And it's not human based anymore. And also too less detail. Welland I can keep going on like this. So you can say it looks 50x better then my stuff. That might be true. But I never said I was good. I only say my stuff is true manga. So it's recognized that it is manga by all jp ppl. And those things that are 50x better I've seen a lot of stuff too. Those are often just cartoon that is inspired by manga/anime. You are opinion of if it is manga/anime or cartoon doesn't count because you aren't japanese. But I'm japanese that just something u can't understand. I've shown my jp friends that stuff and they same as I do.
I never watch dubs but I hate ppl thinking that those fake bullsh*it is anime. I'm not the only one all real anime fans think that.
You can just saying that I'm full of my self. But you should do just a little more effort to understand those things. And read those books and researches. And you don't do it and already ask a next question. But the answer while that answer is the same again.

Actually, it's understandable why anime isn't dubbed word for word.
Think about it.
In Anime, they say "what?" and in japanese it's "Nani?"-or something like that.
In English, it'll be "what the? or "what's that?" because in the japanese word has two syllables. The mouth has to be opend twice. In english, it can't just be dubbed "what" because the charaters mouth moved twice.
Old cheesy kung fu movies were dubbed word for word and as a result the lips didn't synch.

What do you mean jokes that are only possible in japanese?

As for the sailor moon thing, I don't care what happened to 'em.
The US censorship rules may be different than europes, so maybe in europe they were killed. Think about it. How many shows are on american networks that show high school girls getting killed?
That also reminds me, what do you think about anime that's translated to OTHER languages besides english (like german?).

To say that dubs have no acting and no emotion is utter bullsh!t.
There maybe some out there (a lot actually) where the voice acting is horrible, but so what?
The message that is trying to be made is made.
As long as the point gets accross.

In closing, if YOU SIR can't answer my questions, I highly suggest you STFU. What are the chances you'll answer anyone elses questions?
Your bragging about your stuff and can't explain why your stuff is so "authentic".
You don't make anime professionally, nor are you a student of animation.
I've seen stuff here at DA that people call anime that looks 50x better than the stuff in your gallery.
If you hate dubbs so much, don't watch them. Simple.
While I'm at it, please don't go to other peoples gallery and tell them their stuff sucks and yours is better.

No it's not real anime anymore. You can't ever translate jokes and phrases that are only possible in japanese. It you replace them by stupid boring jokes you just change the whole story. And there are countless more things that are impossible to translate so those motherf*ckers think of horrible alternatives (there are 100x better ones than the ones they use).
And those crappy cencored you said something about sailor moon so you should know this. At the end of sailor moon all the girls die to protect the main chara from those monsters. BUt in the american cencor version they are 'kidnapped'. WHAT THE HELL!? CRAPPIER IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE!
THey just take all the great stuff of anime away and replace then by UBERcrap stuff then you get american 'anime'. That's how they do it.
And I know the japanese sell those rights and stuff. And dub and sub is very different. Those subs of cartoon network or those so called official dvd are REALLY BAD JUST UNBELIEVEABLE how bad those translations are. You can never tl a language perfectly (I know that really good coz I'm a half) but you can make the best possible tls but those subs are far far from that. Sub has original japanese voices voice acting (with emotion). Dubs are horrible, no acting and no emotion. My computer can do it better a voice then that.
Hey and about the storyboard show me that they are in the credits. I want evidence. A screenshot or a photo is just good enough for me. Ofcourse real anime and no fake animrican sh*t.
And powerpuff girls WTH? It's true they are/were popular in japan so what? Japanese ppl watch CARTOONS too. I can guarantee you that the powerpuff girls or whatever is not anime but cartoon.

Once they come to the US it's not anime?
Keep in mind, it's the JAPANESE that AGREE to have there product distrubuted in the US.
It's subbed and censored to reach a broader mainstream audience.
The more people that watch it, the more money the japanese AND american companiese make.

By the way, storyboard artists determin angles.

I also remeber Cartoon netwrok saying powerpuffgirls was became very popular in Japan.
(big eyes, small mouths, superpowers. Like a lot of anime)

I've never seen them in credits so I can't believe you. But if they do those things you mentioned. Those things are not stuff like the angels, the story or chara design so that doesn't has much to do with anime. Btw you say that dragonball Z and Sailor Moon is anime. But it is not anime anymore if it's dubbed or cencored by non jpese. I'll tell you the definition of what anime is. Anime is animation made by japanese ppl for japanese audience. So that's why dennis the menace and totally spies are not anime even though it's made by japanese ppl. So the stuff you see on cartoon network is dubbed and horriblely cencored is NOT anime anymore. I don't say it's impossible coz impossible diesn't exsist. But the possiblity is between 0,0000000000000001 ~ 0% that a american can make real anime or manga.

I can do a better job because I can understand the culture and I can think like a japanese person. If you can't, you simpley can't make anime or manga. If you don't believe way of thinking can be that different and important search for it. There have been lots of researches of the way of thinking and the diffirence. As long as you can't understand the difference in way of thinking you won't be able to understand this. So plz sereach and read and study those things a bit then you might understand.

Well you know, the young kids that graduate from american colleges with animation degrees that go to japan while in their twenties to make a living tweening, key framing, storyboarding and doing otherthings involved in the process of making anime.

Keep in mind, a lot of these americans weren't even introduced to anime until it became really mainstream in the Us (sailormoon, Dragon ball Z etc).

Are you saying that because you're half japanese, you could do a better job?

They really understand the culture better. So the 'japanese' things they do are much and much more japanese or even japanese but it depends also on how they lived in japan and since what age and if they are asian and stuff.
I've watched and read anime and manga before I could talk, ofcourse reading manga was later. But I've never seen or heard of a western person make japanese anime or manga.
